Flooring America in the Community

Every Flooring America store is locally owned, making us truly a part of your community. Being a part of the community, gives us the opportunity to get to know you and better serve you. We participate in a variety of community events. Here are just a few ways we work with you to make a better tomorrow for our communities today:

Go Red For Women

Flooring America is a proud supporter of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, which works to educate women to lead heart-healthy lives and reduce the risk of heart disease – the number one killer of women in the United States.

Heart disease touches all our lives, including many Flooring America store owners and their customers. By teaming with Go Red For Women, Flooring America can make a significant impact at the local and national levels. During our national Red Tag Sales, we make a contribution to Go Red For Women for every square foot of specially marked red-tag flooring sold. In addition, many Flooring America stores host local events to support the movement. Working together, we can help eradicate heart disease and make a difference in the lives of mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters.

Learn to love your heart - join the movement

FCIF Charity Golf Event

Flooring America employees are proud to participate in the FCIF (Floor Covering Industry Foundation) Golf Charity Event, established over 20 years ago, for the sole purpose of assisting those in the floor covering industry most in need.

The FCIF works to assist members of the floor covering industry experiencing: catastrophic illness, severe disability, or other life-altering hardship. The Foundation ensures that these philanthropic efforts are accomplished with compassion, confidentiality and preservation of dignity for the individuals concerned.

What's Going On In Your Neighborhood?

Saturday September 25, 2004 was Zig Zaturday at Flooring America Flooring Center. Zig is the ambassador for children facing cancer with the Children's Chance Organization. Zig is the loveable zebra striped pig who helps raise awareness and money for children with cancer in South Carolina. Like many other families we too are personally effected by pediatric cancer, with our son Ian having T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. We became acquainted with Children's Chance in the fall of 2002. We were moved by the support and the many programs Children's Chance helps to fund and makes available tothe children and their families coping with pediatric cancer. We wanted to do something to help raise awareness of pediatric cancer and the Children's Chance Organization, so we held a fundraiser. We would now like to publicly acknowledge and thank everyone involved for their efforts and support on Zig Zaturday. Thank you Southern Rose Architectural Specialties, the Keislers, for providing us with the beautiful organ music, sno-cones, cotton candy, carnival games and fun for the entire family. Hart Photography what can we say wow!!! You captured our spirit. Thank you for the truly outstanding photographs and documenting our event with the fun that was experienced by all those who attended. To Millie Lewis Modeling & Talent Agency, a huge thank you for the energetic young beautiful faces you sent to us. These young ladies and gentleman showed a great pride and spirit during our car wash event and helped to make it a success. Paulina, Alex,Meri Wether, Shardea,Sacaar, you were all remarkable!!! Thank you so much. Michael Hallman, of M.L. Hallman Builders, a very SPECIAL thank you to you! In spite of a great personal tragedy the morning of our fundraiser you still showed up with a wonderful smile on your face and cooked and prepared hotdogs and barbeque for all to enjoy. Your selfless concern and devotion to our fundraiser demonstrates a genuine CARING HEART. To Coca-Cola and Shasta thank you for donating the drinks. They were enjoyed by all. Mr Tucker at Chick-fil-A a thank you to you for providing us with the ice to keep the drinks cold. Mr. Lucas of Lucas Sanitation, thank you for providing the porta-let facilities. Keith thank you for donating the area rug which was raffled off and won by Lori B. of Lexington. DeeAnn,fellow pediatric cancer mom and my friend thank you as usual for all your support and helping to get our PSA's out to the media. A great big ZHANK YOU goes out to all our floor covering reps that participated in making our event successful. We appreciate what you do for us at Flooring America, meeting and exceeding our needs on a daily basis. The fact that you would give up a Saturday to help out with an event that had nothing to do with flooring demonstrates how truly dedicated you all are to us, your customers, your community and to the children suffering with cancer. Adrienne, Brad, Brent, Bob, Keith Tommy C and Tommy H our sincere gratitude for all you did and continue to do for us. YOU ARE THE BEST. To the fantastic staff of Flooring America Flooring Center, the extra hours of preparation, your willingness to help and your tireless spirit are an example of what can be accomplished when we work together as a team. Ivan, Maren, Brian, Angela and our partners and dear friends Dale and Tena, thank you for a terrific display of teamwork and support. Last, but certainly not least, you the public who participated in our 1st Annual Children's Chance Fundraiser, thank you for your support. Please tell your family and friends how much fun you had and to look for us next year at our 2nd Annual Children's Chance Fundraiser.
